NYE

I hope everyone has had time to relax and recuperate before the start of a new year! Thank goodness we have one more holiday to look forward to before we enter the somber month of January.

Goodbye Kombucha, Hello Matcha!

According to this Vogue article, these are the foods to bid farewell to in 2014, and welcome into 2015. Top of that list... Matcha.

Matcha

"1. A Japanese powdered green tea, historically used to enhance one's focus, energy, and alertness. 2. The stone-ground powder derived from the topmost leaves of the first harvest of a green tea crop."

New York's first ever MachaBar was opened in Williamsburgh in fall 2014 by two brothers, Graham and Max.  Matcha tea includes health benefits that contains over 100 times more antioxidants than regular green tea.

Prêt à Porter (RTW)

In the fashion industry, some designer's creations speak to you more than others. For me personally, Alice & Olivia's designs never seise to catch my eye; whether it being in a store window at Eloise downtown, or being worn by celebrities who are constantly on-the-go. Stacey Bendet speaks my language!

Marni Flower Market in Milan

September 22, 2014

Milan was in full bloom to celebrate Marni's 20th anniversary during Milan Fashion Week this past September. Currently being in the dead of winter, a flower market set up at Milan's Rotonda Della Besana is more alluring than sundresses and lounging by the pool. For spring 2015, floral is going to be bigger and better than years past. Vogue titles this trend "No Wallflower" and joined with the caption, "Never has the concept of florals for spring felt fresher: Big and beautiful or minute and abstract, this season, flower power is boldly feminine and here to stay". According to Marie Claire UK, "Spring 2015 is a full Seventies Fashion throwbacks."
