Runway 2012

As many of you following on me on twitter may already know; I designed a dress and then wore it down the runway in a local fashion runway show. Sounds easy enough? Not really! The dress I designed had to be entirely made out of recyclable materials. The materials' I chose were Cd's and cassette tape. In hindsight that was not a smart move on my part. My dress turned out stiff, was almost impossible to walk in, and the Cd's kept falling off of my dress! However when I walked down the runway I forgot how hard the dress was to walk in, and just focused on walking to the beat of "Good Time".

The entire look was my vision down to the last teased strand of hair. The dress was short with a dog collar (cone of shame) around my head covered in cassette tape. My boots were actually a last second decision. I got a pair of adorable black open toe wedges, but ended up pulling a muscle in my leg at Cross Country a couple days before and couldn't wear them for practice. I think the boots were a good decision though. They completed the rocker chic look I was going for.

Here are some pictures of my dress and me on the runway...
